Ted Gibbs has received substantial hands-on drafting and design experience during his employment at Statewide. He has been responsible for preparing plans for senior engineer review and comment. Ted has gained valuable experience in design of roadways, water systems, sewer systems, erosion control plans, comprehensive storm water monitoring plans, drainage plans, and conceptual project plans, as well as the supporting forms and reports for these functions. Ted’s professional development studies, along with practical experience has made him extremely proficient at dealing with storm water management issues as they relate to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (N.P.D.E.S.). He is extremely well versed in addressing non-point source pollutant issues for construction activities, as well as related issues for industrial activities such as surface mining, borrow pits, and various fill site activities.
Ted has been instrumental in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects from the initial application phase through final project construction plans for numerous CDBG applications, as well as other grant-funded projects such as TE, EIP, FEMA, GEFA, USDA RD, and others for over 10 years
Along with civil design, Ted has been invaluable to Statewide in other ways. Ted was instrumental in the pioneering phase of networking the company’s information technology resources, helping to keep Statewide on the cutting edge of technology. Today, a single project design or budget can be accessed from any one of dozens of terminals in multiple buildings, assuring organizational efficiency as well as prompt client service.
