Engineers - Surveyors - Construction Managers

Todd Pate began working part time at Statewide Engineering Inc. in 1999 while out for summer break from Irwin County High School. Todd started out on one of the field survey crews as a rodman and soon learned the operation of all of the surveying instruments. After graduating from High School in 2001, Todd was afforded the opportunity to gain experience on basic highway construction and the environmental issues that take place on construction projects. Todd was stationed at one of Statewide’s branch offices in Arabi, GA where he took part in Water Quality Monitoring of state waters on projects. He also gained his certification as a W.E.C.S. (worksite erosion control supervisor) to begin performing these inspections on numerous GA DOT highway projects.

In 2004, Todd was selected to cross-train into the drafting department due to his eagerness to learn. He rapidly became proficient at drafting and began learning basics of design for many different types of projects including subdivision design, water systems, street and drainage projects, erosion control plans, and site layouts.

After learning the basics, Todd began preparing project plans for senior engineer review. His strongest area of expertise is design of erosion and sedimentation control plans. Todd’s background in the field gives him unique insight into complex issues that arise during the course of a project.

During Todd’s employment at Statewide, he has completed several professional development courses and certification programs including:
